Nockster Wallet

Privacy policy

Effective and last updated:

Your keys stay on your device. Your recovery phrase, private keys, and wallet password are not sent to us. Mobile device unlocking uses hardware security features when enabled on supported devices. We do not sell personal information, track you across other companies’ apps and websites, or build advertising profiles.

Using an online wallet still involves sharing information: network services receive wallet requests and connection data, blockchains record transactions publicly, and information you save to the Nockblocks address book is stored by that service.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Southwestern Pool Supply Co. Inc. ("SWPS," "we," "us") provides Nockster Wallet. This policy covers the Nockster iOS and Android apps, browser extension, and the supporting services we operate for the wallet. It explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and your choices. Contact us at howdy@swps.io.

2. Information on your device

Nockster is a self-custody wallet. Software-wallet recovery phrases and private keys are generated or imported on your device and stored in an encrypted local vault. Transaction signing happens locally or on a connected hardware wallet. We do not hold these secrets, upload them to our servers, or provide a recovery service for them.

The app also stores preferences, cached balances and transaction history, and pending transactions locally. If you enable biometric unlocking, the operating system protects the local unlocking credential. We do not receive your fingerprint, face scan, or device passcode.

3. Nockblocks and wallet requests

Nockster connects to nockblocks.com to retrieve blockchain information, balances, transaction history, and prices, and to submit signed transactions. The service receives the public addresses, public keys, transaction identifiers, and other request information needed to carry out those actions.

The wallet authenticates access to Nockblocks with a locally signed message. Nockblocks maintains a wallet-associated service identity, authentication records, and access credentials. This does not disclose your private key. You do not need to provide an email address or use Google sign-in to use the wallet, but wallet-based service authentication still occurs.

If you use the address book, the addresses and nicknames you enter are sent to and stored by Nockblocks, including when you have not linked an email or Google account. You can optionally create or link a Nockblocks account to access account features and share your address book. Linking associates your wallet with that account; the account provider may supply an email address, profile name, and sign-in identifier.

Nockblocks account and website use is also described in its privacy policy. This policy describes how Nockster uses the wallet-related information it sends to that service.

4. Operational logs and support

Our servers and hosting, network, and security providers may collect routine connection and diagnostic information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, requested endpoints, response codes, app or browser versions, and errors. Logs may incidentally include wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, or request details. These records can sometimes be associated with a wallet or account.

We use this information to deliver the service, diagnose failures, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. We do not use it to assemble dossiers about your activities outside the service or to target advertising.

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message or attachments. The feedback form opens a draft in your email app; we receive it only when you send it. Please do not send recovery phrases, private keys, or passwords. Apple, Google, or your browser’s distribution platform may also provide diagnostics or beta-testing feedback according to your settings and their policies.

5. Public transactions and connected services

Transactions you submit are broadcast to a public blockchain. Addresses, amounts, transaction metadata, and other on-chain information may be visible to anyone and retained indefinitely. Using Bridge to Base includes the receiving Base address in the Nockchain transaction, publicly linking the bridge deposit and its destination.

We cannot erase or change blockchain records or copies held by independent network participants. Opening an explorer, connecting the extension to a website, or choosing a recipient in your device’s share sheet discloses the information needed for that action to that service or recipient. Their own privacy practices apply.

6. Permissions and tracking

Camera access is optional and used to scan QR codes on your device. Nockster does not upload the camera feed. Biometric authentication is optional and handled by your operating system. You can manage these permissions in device settings and disable biometric unlocking in the app. Copy, paste, and sharing features use your device’s clipboard and sharing controls when you choose them.

The wallet does not request access to your device’s contacts or precise location and does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. Local storage, session cookies, and authentication credentials support wallet operation and sign-in; they are not used for advertising. This policy page uses no advertising, analytics scripts, or third-party fonts.

7. How information is used and shared

We use wallet-related information to perform the actions you request, provide optional account features, respond to support requests, secure and troubleshoot the service, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell or rent it, share it for targeted advertising, or buy outside information to create personal profiles.

Service providers that handle information on our behalf, such as hosting, infrastructure, and email providers, may use it only to provide those services and must protect it consistently with this policy. Information may also be disclosed when you direct us to do so, when legally required, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or establish or defend legal rights. If the service is transferred as part of a business transaction, information remains subject to the protections described here, and we will notify you of material changes.

8. Retention, deletion, and your choices

We retain non-public information only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Service identities and account records support ongoing access; saved address-book entries remain until removed or the associated data is deleted. Operational logs are retained for troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention. Support messages are retained as needed to address and document the request. Legal obligations, active security investigations, or disputes may require longer retention; otherwise information is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

You can delete saved address-book entries through the app. To request access, correction, or deletion of information held by us, including a Nockblocks account or wallet-associated service records, email howdy@swps.io. We may need to verify your request using an account or proof of wallet control, but will never need your recovery phrase or private key. We will explain any information we must retain.

Removing a wallet, clearing app or browser storage, or uninstalling the app can remove local data, but does not itself delete server records or public transactions. Operating-system keychain or backup copies may require separate management through your device or backup provider. Back up your recovery phrase before removing local wallet data; we cannot restore it for you.

You can stop optional account linking and support communications by not using those features, revoke device permissions in settings, and stop future wallet requests by discontinuing use. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent by changing the relevant setting or contacting us. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a portable copy of your information, or complain to a privacy regulator.

9. Security and international processing

We use safeguards appropriate to the information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and local encryption for wallet secrets. No system can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for keeping your device, backups, and recovery phrase secure.

SWPS operates from the United States. Our providers may process information in other countries with different privacy laws. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use those safeguards.

10. Children

Nockster is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where possible.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. We publish the current policy here and update the date above. For material changes, we provide appropriate notice through the app, our website, or another suitable channel, and obtain consent where required.

For privacy questions or requests, contact Southwestern Pool Supply Co. Inc. at howdy@swps.io.
